What clients tell me they appreciate about my work as a clinical psychologist is that I am gentle, thoughtful, nonjudgmental, and skillful in asking pertinent questions and providing useful feedback. They commonly express to me how quickly they feel better, and when we end our work together, how grateful they are to have had the opportunity to work with me.
My professional experience includes research, psychological testing, teaching, supervision, and psychotherapy. I have helped children, adolescents, adults, elders, families, and couples grappling with depression, anxiety/stress, substance abuse/addiction, relationship issues, concerns around sexuality/sexual identity, and other challenges.
I studied International Relations, Chinese, Japanese, and Psychology at Takanosu Nourin Koukou (Japan), Harvard University, Oberlin College, the Capital University of Economics and Business (China), the University of Rochester, and the California School of Professional Psychology. I have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a license to practice in the state of New York. I currently serve my clients in Midtown Manhattan and virtually.
